Talkin'
Mornin',
Bein
one thats always lookin to expand
my knowledge of how things work, I got ta
thinkin the other day that Ive
never really got ta know any real pessimists.
I decided that if I was
goin ta be enlightened, I otta start
associatin with those that always look
at things with the worst in mind. I decided
to start attendin the Parternal Order
Of Pessimists.
I have yet to attend an
organized meetin, but Ive talked
to a pile a POOP members and have got to
admit, they have always got somethin
bad ta say bout almost everthing.
I figure Ill start
reportin on all the meetins,
givin ya the straight POOP from the
horses. . .ah. . .mouth.
Guess I could be called the
official pooper-scooper.
This is some fact, but
mostly,
Just Jake Talkin.

The Super Handyman
by Al Carrell & Kelly

Q: We have vinyl-clad windows
and a sprinkler system outside the house. The
vinyl has become spotted by the water and looks
cloudy. What will remove these spots?
A: The vinyl shouldnt be
harmed by the water itself. The dullness is
probably just due to the mineral deposits left
behind when the water from the sprinklers has
evaporated.
Try washing the vinyl parts
with a little bit of hot vinegar and a scrub
brush. That should clean them right up.
Q: Our kids enjoy playing in
the rain, but they usually track in mud before I
can stop them. What is the best way to remove mud
from carpets?
A: Just let it alone until it
dries. Then it becomes dirt, and your vacuum can
deal with that.
Dear Al: I have a fantastic
filing system for my household papers. I use
large cereal boxes with one of the long, thin
sides cut out. With the top taped closed, I have
a perfect place to keep my important papers
organized. I cover the boxes with matching
wallpaper and they look super. Its a good
way to fight clutter around my house. I used the
same filing system in my office, and now I am
storing some of my shop magazines this way.
